School Tree Day Brentwood Secondary College’s GREEN TEAM 2019

August 5, 2019

Waverley Toyota were proud to support Brentwood Secondary College’s GREEN TEAM during Toyota’s National School Tree Day 2019. Waverley Toyota teamed up with and Bunnings Warehouse in Vermont South and the staff, families and students of Brentwood Secondary College’s to dig in for Planet Ark’s Schools Tree Day.

School Tree Day is an initiative of the highly respected not-for-profit environmental foundation, Planet Ark. It was originally created to bring the Australian community’s attention to the importance of planting native trees to protect and enhance our natural environment

The event also consisted of a special visit from a visit from our member of Parliament, Matt Fregon MP and Maria from Bunnings Warehouse in Vermont South with gardening lessons and activities along with a family and friends BBQ, compliments from Mario at Jells Park Meats, along with a special certificate of appreciation and a goodies bag.

The Brentwood Green Team is a student leadership team who are focused on helping the school become sustainable, as well as educating fellow students about the environment and how to live a sustainable life. The team consists of students ranging through all year levels, and is organised by a supervising teacher. The team accepts anyone who is environmentally conscious and would like to help in achieving our goals.
